Sally Karago, the Managing Director of Mcensal Ltd, a fashion designer and consultant, graduated in 1991 from the American College in London with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Fashion Design and Merchandising.

In 1985, Sally received a Diploma, with distinction, in Fashion Design and Garment Making from the Evelyn College of Design, Nairobi. She is also a beauty consultant and specialist with a Diploma from the International Therapy Examination Council in England.

In 1993 she won the Smirnoff Award Kenya professional category with a stunning design. She has also showcased her unique collections alongside other international designers in the First Face of South Africa (Zimbabwe) Elephant Castle where she was selected to represent East Africa as a judge and designer.

Prior to this, her collection of porcupine quills evening wear opened the very first lounge of Face of Africa at the Safari Park in 1996. She was also showcased her collection in Zambia and Tanzania.

Sally Karago's greatest strength is her creativity and finishing of garments. She enjoys designing using simple style lines and fusing fabrics together to bring a strong, unique contemporary African look to her collections.

She also enjoys working with other fashion accessory designers to complete the look of her collection. For this show, jewelry was provided by Maro Designs.
