Monica Kanari

An exceptionally charming designer, Kenya’s Monica Kanari mostly focuses on Bridal attire. She turned her hobby into a profession as she did not study fashion at a tertiary level and has been a winner of three International fashion awards - As a student in 1995 Smirnoff International Fashion

Then as a professional also in the 2000 Smirnoff awards and in 2006 in the Redds Fashion awards. In 2003, Monica visited Australia and had the opportunity to train under Tracy Saywell, a professional fashion designer, to enhance her skills. She mostly uses silks and taffeta in addition to the African ornaments used in the production process to adorn her creations. She now designs custom-made outfits and dresses several Kenyan celebrities.
